Q. What is the One NY Half & 5K?
The second annual One NY Half / 5K is the premier running event in Central New York for the Fall of 2022. A limited number of participants will have the ability to meet for an amazing day of reconnection, competition and fun while we conquer the 5k and half marathon courses.

Q. When can I register?
A. Pre-sale registration spots are available to previous One NY participants at a reduced rate ($75) from Wednesday July 6th, 2022 @ 11am - Tuesday July 12th at 11am.

Registration opens to the general public on 7/12/22 @ 11am

Q. What time do the races kick off?
A. The races will begin at 8:30 AM on Sunday, October 9, 2022.

Q. Where is the start/finish line?
A. The start/finish line will be located inside the Lakeview Amphitheater. 490 Restoration Way, Syracuse, NY 13209 

Q. Where are the course maps?
A.  Maps are located here

Q. What does this benefit?
A. The 2022 Edition of the One NY Half benefits the Central New York Food Bank

Q. What percentage of funds goes to charity?
A. 100% of all donations go to each respective charity. 

Q. How can I switch distances?
Yes you may. If you elect to change from the 5k to the half marathon you will be responsible for the price difference. Please email

Q. How do I get my live event SWAG?
A. Our packet pick-up will be held at Fleet Feet Syracuse (5800 Bridge St, East Syracuse, NY 13057) on Saturday 10/8/22  from 10am - 4pm and at the race site starting at  6:30 am on race morning.

***No live event packets will be shipped***

Q. What are the virtual 5k and half marathon categories?
A. The virtual 5k and half marathon events allow you to compete in our event from anywhere in the world. You will receive an email with instructions on how to submit your times and get ranked on our leaderboard. Your virtual SWAG will be shipped following the event. Results submission window is from October 8 through October 16th.

Q. What are the virtual 5k and half marathon fees?
A.$40 - includes shipping

Q. May I transfer to another event after registering?
A. Yes - you may transfer into either of the live events until 10/1/2022

The transfer cut-off date for the virtual event is 9/1/22

Q. Am I required to join a team?
A. No, many people will participate as an individual.

Q. Can I use an indoor bike or treadmill for the virtual races and training challenge (Road to the Amp)?
A. Yes you can!

Q. Do I have to run?
A. No! Many of our participants are walkers! The course is open for 4 hours so you'll have plenty of time to finish up!

Q. Can I compete in the virtual event Internationally?
A. Yes! We just ask for a nominal $14.99 for additional shipping charges if outside North America

Q. When will I receive my SWAG?
A. Live event participants will pick up at Packet Pick Up at Fleet Feet in East Syracuse on Saturday October 8th from 10 AM -4 PM or on Race Day at the  Lakeview Amphitheater from 6:30 AM Until 8:15 AM. Virtual event SWAG will ship following the event.

Q. For the virtual events, do I need a GPS watch/tracker, or Strava? Will I need to show my watch or device for proof of running?
A: You can use one if you wish but we are on the honor system here. There are no additional awards given for running faster; just finish!

Q. Do you have to be fast?
A: No, you can be any level runner/walker!

Q. Can I edit my SWAG size?
A. Yes,  if your desired size is still available! To edit your size, log into your runsignup account and click Profile, and then My Registered Races. Find the One NY Half and click Manage Registration. Select the Quarter Zip Size Edit tab on the left-hand side of the screen, and update your size from the drop-down menu.


Team Questions

Q. I'm already registered but want to join a team, can I?

A. Yes! Follow these instructions:

- Log into your Runsignup profile,  Go to my Profile >My Registered Races > One NY Safe > Manage Registration, then click Group/Team at the bottom of page and Join Existing Group/Team, find the group you want to join on the list and save.  

Q. Is this a relay? 
A. No, each member will be expected to complete their distance individually.
